Ongoing e-Communication Review Support
Client’s Need:
- A large financial institution required Amba’s support for an electronic communication review process. The client wanted the Amba team to review over 20,000 e-mails on a monthly basis.
Amba’s Solution:
- Amba deployed compliance-trained analysts with a capital markets background to review all electronic communication (office communicator chats, e-mails, etc.) captured by an electronic surveillance application.
- The team reviews electronic communication for possible customer complaints, compliance issues, insider trading, intellectual property rights violations, and other suspicious and inappropriate activities.
- The team also periodically reviews and modifies the Lexicon built into the electronic surveillance application. This facilitates effective e-communication surveillance.
Value/Outcome:
- With Amba’s assistance, the client is able to supervise e-mails effectively in accordance with NASD 3010.
- The client only needs to review escalated e-mails (around 50 per month).
