Distressed Investment Research Support
An asset management firm with AuM of USD5bn focused on high-yield credits in the Emerging Markets. Over the last six months, the manager was actively looking at distressed assets to improve his returns and take advantage of the many opportunities. The asset manager had too many ideas and opportunities to sift through and budgetary pressures were forcing him to manage without an in-house research team. He needed to put in place an analytical process that could filter information on public companies or extract information on private names to identify the right opportunity, determine its risk, time of entry and holding period. He required a flexible and experienced research team that could provide incisive analyses within tight deadlines.
