Paul oversees Quantitative Services and Information Technology at Amba Research. Paul has over 10 years experience in capital markets on both the research and trading sides. Clients benefit from Paul’s expertise in managing and sourcing skilled human capital in India including managing research support to equity and fixed income desks, mentoring doctoral-level recruits, and interfacing with institutional investors, policymakers and academics.

Before joining Amba Research, Paul was Chief Economist Asia (ex-Japan) at Nomura and Regional Financial Economist at Lehman Brothers. Paul has previously worked in providing high frequency advisory services to bond and currency traders, traded spot and forward FX and helped structure currency options. Most recently, Paul spent over a year as a Visiting Professor in International Finance at IIM Bangalore.

Paul has a PhD in International Finance from UCLA, an MBA from IIM Calcutta, and a BA in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
