President Inaugurates Amba Research in Costa Rica

President of Costa Rica and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Óscar Arias Sánchez, attended the official inauguration of Amba Research’s newest office in San José, Costa Rica. Other distinguished guests at this event included the Ambassador of the United States of America, Mark Langdale, government authorities and a number of Amba Research’s international clients.

Amba Research has been operating in Costa Rica since June 2006, making it the first company in its industry to provide offshore investment research support to North American clients from the same time zone. According to Anand Aithal, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Amba Research, “We have been very encouraged by the positive experiences and we plan to increase our commitment to Costa Rica.”

Amba Research’s new offices are located in San José, the country’s business center, in the award-winning business complex Eurocenter Diursa. It is equipped with world class technology and security features.

During the event, Armando Balma, Managing Director of Amba Research Costa Rica, announced the company would more than double its staff size in the next year. “We are really proud of the amazing talent and potential of Costa Rica’s young men and women. Our experience in hiring our analysts has been very gratifying; they have made Amba Research Costa Rica a success story within the company and with our clients,” he stated.

According to Óscar Arias, President of Costa Rica, the opening of Amba Research represents a milestone for the country. “Here I can see highly qualified Costa Rican workers, ‘playing in the major leagues’ of the business world. I see foreign investors convinced of the convenience of our business environment and the incentives that we offer high level companies, like Amba Research, wishing to establish operations in the country,” he said.
